Also

I left my phone in Adelaide, which was dumb. Now I've gotta' pay to get it posted to me, which kinda sucks.

No texts or phone calls for a while.

"Oh hello there" from Perth

So yeah, I'm in Perth, West Australia, (which, alongside Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia makes it 4 states out of 8). Not here for long though, no sir, I'm heading over to Fremantle tomorrow and I'm pretty much gonna try and settle there, get a job and stick around a while before heading off anywhere again.

Perth's nice, lovely looking city, got a touch of San Francisco about it, it's much nicer looking then Adelaide as it's managed to balance the old architecture well with the new unlike 'laide which was a colossal mess. (Speaking of which, I'm gonna upload a bunch of photos of that city some time soon, so look forward to that)

Hostel I'm staying in is ok, although everyone there seems pretty old, like, a lot older than the standard 24 year old student. I'm talking 30s-40s which is a little bit creepy, plus the old guy who runs it is nice and all, but he's one of those people who weirds you out for no real reason.

Plus, it's AU$30 a night for a 8 bed dorm, which is shitty as I was staying for $24 in Adelaide in a six bed dorm, which actually had decent air conditioning and beds and a guy who didn't spend an hour whacking off last night going "Mmmmmm *fap fap fap* MmmmmHmmmm *fap fap fap*"

Also, I saw James Bond, which was awesome.

More from Fremantle.

For Kellie. Because she likes this kind of thing.

Ozzy culture floats

Mecha-roo
The truest thing I've seen in this entire country
A swagman, apparently. Something to do with stealing sheep, I think.

Dragon?

Yeah, they had a whole bunch of floats that were done up like fairy tales, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Snow White, Beauty and the beast, stuff like that. There was this dragon, that although it was pretty neat almost killed me because it had a habit of doing this;
Which fucked my lungs for a good while

I mean, really,

Is there any other elephant of merit?

Greeks?

Innapropriately dressed chicks.

Basket ball players or something? I'm not entirely sure
They also had giant ass flags that they were waving, didn't get a decent shot of those so you don't get to see them
These chicks must be honest to god freezing, the weather was shit and it was actually freezing
They also had flags.
There were tons of these girls to

Adelaide Christmas Pagent Parade

Ok, so the thing is, Blogspot doesn't seem to allow me to put more than five photos in a post at a time, so excuse the massive amounts of posts that will follow, as there is a pretty massive amount of pictures.

Also, turns out my camera's not broken, it just rapes batteries., I got through three pairs of brand name batteries in the course of taking these pics. Turns out my camera's not broken, it just rapes batteries.

Pictures on their way.

First things first.

There is a guy right across from me in the cybercafe looking at vast amounts of amateur pornography. Like, he's got some program running that's displaying a pic every second. He's been at it for half an hour, just clicking through, doing nothing else. Porn, porn, porn, porn. This man is a porn machine. I have never seen so many women tied to beds or so many close ups of soiled knickers. I don't know what to think, my fragile little mind has been shattered.

ANYWAY.

The job.

I'm pretty sure I've told everyone here about it, but just for those more casual members of the audience, or someone I havn't had the chance to ring, I'll go over it. Also, I'd feel weird if I didn't go over a big detail like that in my blog. Seeing as I've covered everything else.

So yeah, working on a wheat storage facility. We have metal bunkers that we first have to line the floor with plastic that we sew together and bolt to the walls. We then tip a couple of thousand tons of wheat on to it and when there's enough of it, we cover it up with a giant tarpaulin. I know it doesn't sound it, but it is pretty tough going.

The worst bit is the times, currently I'm working 6am until 2:3opm, which doesn't seem that bad, but the thing is the job's two hours away from the city, so I get the bus at 4am which involves waking up at at 3am. I tend to get back at around 5pm. On a good day.

Recently, I have not been having good days. Whilst the money *is* awesome, the overtime is not. Tuesday and wednsdays were 14 hour shifts, (as apposed to the eight hour standard) which saw me getting back at 10pm instead of 5pm. Giving me the choice of either sleep enough or eating enough.

Still, the money's good.

AND THAT, is why I havn't been on this blog in forever, the hours are so ridiculously anti social that it barely gives me any time to do much else outside of the essentials.

I'm giving it a week or two until I build up enough dosh to move on to Perth or Freemantle, then see how things go with that. Hopefully, better.

In other news, that guy is still looking at porn.

Laters,
